The Bible tells history in advance

The Bible tells history in advance

Multiple prophets from different centuries contributed to the volume of prophecy. They didn't know each other, and probably didn't even understand what they were writing - messages given to them directly from God. More than 180 prophecies about a coming Messiah were fulfilled by Jesus.
Here are just 10 of those:
 He would be a descendant of Abraham,
 He would be born in Bethlehem,
 A messenger would prepare the way for Him,
 He would teach in parables,
 He would enter Jerusalem riding on a donkey,
 He would be silent before his accusers.
 He would be beaten and spat upon.
 Soldiers would gamble for Messiah's garments,
 He would be resurrected from the dead.
 His hands and feet would be pierced.
And many, many more.

The probability of one man fulfilling just 8 of these is more than 1 to 10 to the power of 17, which is 1 in 100,000,000,000,000,000

This shows us that God's words of prophecy in the Bible have a track record of being correct, as today we can look back in history and see the proof, even in secular history books. We are now entering strange times also predicted in the Bible. See the words of Jesus when asked a question about the end times.

Jesus answered: “Watch out that no one deceives you. For many will come in my name, claiming, ‘I am the Messiah,’ and will deceive many. You will hear of wars and rumours of wars, but see to it that you are not alarmed. Such things must happen, but the end is still to come. Nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom. There will be famines and earthquakes in various places. All these are the beginning of birth pains.
— Matt ch 24 v 4-8

Read on to learn more about the coming Antichrist, the wars, inflation and economic melt-down, and supernatural events which are all foretold, and the 'Mark of the Beast', which must be avoided at all cost! But we are also warned that there will be people who mock and scoff at this important subject, as they are concerned only with their own pleasures.

I want you to recall the words spoken in the past by the holy prophets and the command given by our Lord and Saviour through your apostles.
Above all, you must understand that in the last days scoffers will come, scoffing and following their own evil desires. They will say, ‘Where is this “coming” he promised? Ever since our ancestors died, everything goes on as it has since the beginning of creation.’ But they deliberately forget that long ago by God’s word the heavens came into being and the earth was formed out of water and by water. By these waters also the world of that time was deluged and destroyed. By the same word the present heavens and earth are reserved for fire, being kept for the day of judgment and destruction of the ungodly.
— 2 Peter ch 3 v 2-7

We need to take this subject seriously, and not be scoffers. You do get to choose what to believe, but you will face the consequences either way! As we consider the judgement of God (what we call Noah's flood) on the next page, consider this amazing coincidence (or wonderful pattern of a God of order, who show us His divine plans in so many ways). The exact dates of the start of the deluge and the landing and exit from Noah's Ark are given to Moses as he wrote in the Book of Genesis for all of us to see thousands of years later.

The water receded steadily from the earth. At the end of the hundred and fifty days the water had gone down, and on the seventeenth day of the seventh month the ark came to rest on the mountains of Ararat.
— Gen ch 8 v 3-4

The second chance, and a new start for humanity was on a certain date. A shadow of another second chance for humanity to be created by Jesus, as he was victorious over sin and death at The Cross some 2,500 years later.

While they were still talking about this, Jesus himself stood among them and said to them, ‘Peace be with you.’
They were startled and frightened, thinking they saw a ghost. He said to them, ‘Why are you troubled, and why do doubts rise in your minds? Look at my hands and my feet. It is I myself! Touch me and see; a ghost does not have flesh and bones, as you see I have.’
— Luke ch 26 v 36-39

This appearing of the risen Jesus to His disciples happened on the exact same date, the anniversary of the landing of Noah's Ark. God is providing you with a second chance, read on.
